OUR TEAM
Our experienced provider team brings deep knowledge and training in treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, chronic pain, myofascial dysfunction, acute injuries, and the broader stressors that impact holistic health and wellbeing. We integrate both ancient and emergent techniques, with a focus on pain rehabilitation and prevention through comprehensive patient care.
We begin by understanding your unique starting point—seeing you as a whole person, not just a set of symptoms. From there, we work collaboratively to address your specific concerns and build a personalized, achievable care plan. Our shared-care model allows for seamless scheduling across providers, so you can access the support you need when you need it.
We welcome all people — all races, genders, sexual orientations, body types, professions, and religions. Our clinic is open to new patients who are very familiar with acupuncture & bodywork as well as those just curious about getting started.

“ Everyone deserves to live a more pain-free and balanced life. I’m inspired by the immediate and longterm effects I’ve seen acupuncture, bodywork, and yoga have on a person and find this work both humbling and invigorating! It is a privilege to be trained in and share these healing modalities with our community. ”
As a life-long student of movement and owner of Turning Pointe, Alissa has over a decade of personal and professional experience dedicated to the healing arts — from teaching yoga and therapeutic exercise in physical therapy clinics to practicing massage therapy in chiropractic clinics and wellness centers. She is dedicated to helping individuals identify and treat pain and movement dysfunction at the source to return to activities they love and avoid future injuries.
Patients often make their way to Alissa’s treatment room exhausted and desperate for relief after finding few answers elsewhere. Her approach has been described as deeply informed, affirming, compassionate, and caring — and she is so fulfilled by following the threads that lead to less suffering for everyone from professional athletes to folks just wishing to feel better in their bodies.
Alissa is passionate about supporting people who are struggling with multifaceted symptoms, overlapping or evasive diagnoses, and persistent pain. She is particularly interested and skilled in addressing radiculopathic conditions including experiences of weakness, numbness, and tingling; chronic headaches, menstrual cycle concerns, injuries related to sports and exercise, and symptoms of overtaxed nervous systems including anxiety and insomnia. Alissa also brings a deep understanding of how circumstances of overwhelm, transitional grief, and bereavement affect the body, connecting the dots between physical and mental-emotional distress.
Alissa holds a Master of Science in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Human Physiology from San Francisco State University. She has 500 hour certifications in both massage therapy and yoga instruction. She is currently pursuing a post-graduate certificate in Sports Medicine Acupuncture from one of the most advanced orthopedic & sports medicine acupuncture programs available. When she is not at the clinic, Alissa enjoys hiking, cycling, swimming, creating fiber art, and spending time with her partner and two cats. “ I believe that through collaborative, holistic and trauma-informed care, open communication, and analytical / clinical processes, we can center and remind the body of its inherent desire to thrive without pain. Trauma is held in the body, and I will meet you in your unique experience with empathy to support your journey to mind-body connection and structural balance. ”
As a professional dancer with over 20 years of experience and with her lived experience with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Molly has a deep understanding of chronic pain, injury management & prevention, hypermobility disorders, and neurological conditions. She has always found manual therapy to be an important component of supporting the moving body, mind-body connection, and mental wellbeing.
With empathy and compassion at the core of her work, Molly uses various structurally-based and trauma-informed treatment styles to engage the parasympathetic nervous system to de (and re)-construct postural habits, tension, and guarding that may be the underlying cause of chronic pain and acute injury. Using combined modalities tailored to each patient, including Integrative Bodywork, Myofascial Release, Deep Tissue, CranioSacral Therapy, and Cupping Therapy, her style has been described as slow, focused, detailed, and intentional; meeting and supporting your body where it is in the moment. Molly is beloved by her patients, who often share that they’ve never been seen, heard, or had their experiences addressed in the way Molly offers. Working with Molly is validating, refreshing, comforting, and relieving — often all at the same time. She believes in bodywork and in the people in her community of care.
Molly holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Ballet from the University of Cincinnati’s college - Conservatory of Music (CCM) and received her massage therapy education from East West College of the Healing Arts. Molly is a Dance Medicine Specialist and member of the International Association of Dance Medicine and Science (IADMS). “ I'm deeply fulfilled by supporting people as they connect with themselves and gain more understanding of and in their own bodies through proprioceptive presence, therapeutic touch, and mindful movement. I see my role as a bridge builder — translating the language of the body to bring greater harmony and physical healing. ”
California born, Nevada raised, and now a local Portlander, Cate has been practicing massage and manual therapy since 2019. Her path into therapeutic work began unexpectedly at age 18 while studying theology in Germany, where she first developed a deep appreciation for holistic healing and the mind-body connection.
Cate brings a compassionate, grounded presence to her work, specializing in supporting those who often put their own needs last — caregivers, busy professionals, parents, and people navigating the physical and emotional toll of chronic stressors. Her sessions offer folks a chance to reconnect with their bodies, gain clarity around their patterns of movement and tension, and begin the process of meaningful, sustainable healing. Drawing on advanced techniques and training including Myofascial Release, Muscle Energy Technique, joint mobilization, facilitated stretching, and RockTape Kinesiology taping, Cate is a confident partner in post-surgical and non-surgical injury rehabilitation. Whether you're an athlete recovering from injury, a retiree looking to move more independently, an expecting parent, or simply someone seeking to feel more at home in your body, Cate is committed to meeting you where you are and especially passionate about helping people build resilience, reduce pain, and develop a deeper sense of agency in their bodies. Working with Cate will move you toward greater connection, ease, and empowered action to care for yourself — on and off the massage table.
Cate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Public Health from the University of Nevada, Reno, and an Associate’s degree in Nutrition from TMCC. In addition to her massage therapy credentials, Cate is a certified 200-hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher and is currently completing her Matwork Pilates certification.
When not at the clinic, Cate's love of movement and mindfulness extends into her daily life through hiking, dancing, traveling, practicing acroyoga, and as a new percussionist for the Rose City Pride band! You can learn more about Cate in this meet your practitioner interview on our blog.
At this time, Cate’s insurance credentialing is currently in process. Until then, she is available for cash pay appointments only.

“ I am motivated to help you heal quickly so you can return to the activities you love! I offer patient-centered care while seeking to find the root causes of imbalances in your system by supporting both your mind and body. ”
Over 30 years ago, Dr. Charisse Squires began her journey into natural medicine, initially drawn to how diet influences health. Her interest quickly expanded to include nutrition, exercise, mind-body practices, herbal medicine, supplements, and Chinese medicine. In 2000, she was introduced to acupuncture and herbal medicine. Though initially skeptical, her first treatment brought noticeable stress relief, prompting her to continue exploring this healing approach. Over the years, she has successfully used Chinese medicine to manage a wide range of personal health concerns, including kidney stones, pain, stress, colds, digestive issues, fatigue, and heart-related symptoms.
Charisse began formal training in 2010, earning a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a Master of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (MAcOM), and a Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM). She is also a certified Reiki Master with over 25 years of experience, a Shamanic practitioner, and is trained in Shiatsu and Tuina massage. She stays current with the latest research and techniques to provide the best care for her patients.
Nationally certified to prescribe Chinese herbal medicine, Charisse owns a full herbal medicinary and offers herbal consultations for those not receiving acupuncture. She treats a wide variety of conditions and is known for her gentle, compassionate style, especially with those new to acupuncture. For patients preferring stronger techniques, she also offers trigger point therapy.
Her special interests lie in internal medicine—digestive issues, urinary dysfunction, cardiac concerns, hormonal imbalance, autoimmune disorders, and women’s health. She also helps patients manage or eliminate pain using acupuncture, cupping, massage, herbal medicine, and electro-acupuncture. A former athlete, she understands the toll physical pain can take.
When not working, Charisse enjoys the Pacific Northwest’s outdoor beauty, music, arts, gardening, and time with her beloved dog. You can learn more about Charisse in this meet your practitioner interview on our blog.
